Can I join even without sailing experience?
Absolutely! Anyone who is physically and mentally fit can easily join. No prior knowledge is required — just a love for the sea, wind, and optionally the willingness to participate in handling the sails.
Do I have to rent the entire yacht, or can I join individually?
Both options are possible. You can book a single berth on a scheduled trip, or if you’re a group, you can charter the whole yacht exclusively.
What should I pack for the sailing trip?
Before departure, we provide a checklist. It includes everything you need for a comfortable stay on board — from clothing and personal items to useful extras.
What if I get seasick?
No need to worry! We take care to make sure even sensitive participants feel comfortable. With a few simple tips and proper preparation, seasickness can usually be prevented or alleviated.
Do we stay on the water the whole time?
Not necessarily. Depending on the route, we anchor in bays or stop at small harbors.
How does payment work?
After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation. A 50% deposit of the cabin price is due, and the remaining balance is payable about six weeks before departure.
Who takes care of travel to the departure point?
Each participant arranges their own travel. We are happy to provide tips on flights, transfers, or accommodations near the departure port.
Can I cancel the trip?
Yes, you can. However, if no replacement participant is found, the full cabin price must still be paid.
How is food organized on board?
Before departure, we do the grocery shopping together. The costs are covered through the onboard cash fund, contributed to by all crew members. Depending on the crew’s wishes, we may also stop at taverns or order food to the boat.
How is the skipper fed?
The skipper’s meals are covered by the onboard cash fund.
What exactly is the onboard cash fund?
It’s a shared pool of money used for ongoing expenses, such as food, harbor fees, or small purchases. The amount depends on the sailing area and trip duration. The skipper does not contribute to the cash fund.
Can I leave the trip early?
Yes, that is possible — but the route must be planned so that the yacht reaches a port where you can safely disembark.
